One manual or electric breast pump purchase per delivery is covered. Most Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan plans cover DME along with breastfeeding support supplies and counseling. Breast pumps come with certain supplies such as tubing shields and bottles.

We carry tons of great breast pumps with options for all needs. Additional replacement supplies are not covered with the initial breast pump purchase. One electrical or manual breast pump per member per delivery is covered.

For example BCBS Florida and BSBC New Jersey both require that you have a prescription and prior authorization to access your free coverage. Coverage will not be available for breast pumps. What breast pumps will be approved.
